Browse available original oil paintings

Are these original paintings or prints?

The works offered in the shop are original oil paintings, not prints, reproductions or digital copies.

Each painting is a unique physical artwork with its own brushwork, paint surface, colour, texture and material presence.

What kind of oil paintings are available?

The available collection may include:

  • landscape oil paintings,
  • small plein-air studies,
  • Tuscan landscapes,
  • Sardinian coastal paintings,
  • Mediterranean seascapes,
  • Polish landscapes,
  • architectural paintings,
  • figurative and animal paintings,
  • expressive oil sketches.

Availability changes as paintings are sold and new works are added.

Are small original oil paintings good for collecting?

Yes. Small original paintings can be an excellent starting point for a collection. They are easy to display, usually easier to frame and more accessible than larger works.

They work particularly well on shelves, desks, intimate walls, gallery walls and in smaller interiors. Many of the smallest works are direct plein-air studies painted outdoors in changing light.

Are small paintings less important than larger paintings?

No. Artistic value is not determined by dimensions alone.

A small painting can be complete, serious and expressive. Small plein-air studies often have a particularly direct and concentrated quality because they preserve quick decisions, observed colour and changing natural light.

How do I know whether a painting is still available?

A painting listed in the shop without a Sold notice is available to purchase.

Previously sold or unavailable works may remain visible in the paintings archive as part of the artist’s body of work, but cannot be ordered again as original paintings.

Can I reserve a painting?

A short reservation may be possible in an individual case. A painting is not considered sold until payment or an agreed deposit has been received.

For a reservation concerning a particular work, contact Andrea Bocedi .

Does the painting come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. Sold paintings are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming the artist, title, medium and dimensions of the artwork.

Shipping, Delivery & Packaging

Free economy shipping is available for most paintings.

Exceptions may apply to some of the lowest-priced works, unusually large paintings or destinations where the standard delivery method is unavailable. The final delivery options and cost are always shown at checkout before payment.

Do you offer free shipping?

Economy or standard shipping is free for most paintings and destinations.

Exceptions may apply, particularly to some of the smallest and lowest-priced paintings, unusually large works, remote locations or destinations requiring a different delivery service.

The final shipping method and cost, including any free-shipping option available for the order, are calculated and displayed at checkout before payment.

Do you ship original oil paintings internationally?

Yes. Original paintings can be shipped to most international destinations served by the available carriers.

Delivery may be unavailable or temporarily restricted in locations affected by carrier limitations, customs restrictions, sanctions, war, local regulations or circumstances outside the artist’s control.

How much does shipping cost?

For most paintings, an economy or standard delivery option is included in the price.

When a shipping charge applies, it may depend on:

  • the destination,
  • the size and weight of the artwork,
  • packaging requirements,
  • the selected delivery method,
  • available carrier services.

The final delivery options and total cost are shown during checkout before the order is placed.

Is faster courier delivery available?

Where available, a faster courier service can be selected during checkout.

Courier delivery is normally faster than economy shipping and usually involves an additional charge. The available methods depend on the destination and dimensions of the painting.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time depends on the destination and selected shipping method.

Economy delivery normally takes longer, while courier services provide faster delivery where available. The relevant delivery information is displayed during checkout.

A short period may also be required to prepare and pack the original artwork safely before dispatch.

What happens if no shipping option appears at checkout?

First check that the complete delivery address, country and postal code have been entered correctly.

If no delivery option appears after entering the complete address, send the painting title and destination country through the contact page so that delivery possibilities can be checked individually.

Are customs duties or import taxes included?

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or local handling fees imposed by the destination country.

These charges are determined by local authorities and, unless clearly stated otherwise during checkout, are not included in the painting price or shipping charge.

How are oil paintings packed for shipping?

Each painting is packed according to its size, support and destination.

The painted surface, corners and edges are protected carefully, and the artwork is secured inside suitable external packaging to reduce movement during transport.

Can I collect a painting in person?

Personal collection may be possible by prior arrangement. Details should be agreed before placing the order.

Framing, Payment & Ordering

Are the paintings framed?

Paintings are sold framed or unframed depending on the individual artwork.

The product page states whether a frame is included. If the work is described as unframed, any frame shown in an interior mock-up or presentation image is not included.

Are room mock-ups accurate representations of size?

Interior mock-ups are intended to help visualise how a painting may look in a room. They are illustrative and may not represent the artwork’s exact scale.

Always check the dimensions stated on the individual product page before purchasing.

What payment methods are available?

Currently available payment methods are displayed during checkout. The complete total is shown before the order is confirmed.

Can I purchase a painting directly from the artist?

Yes. The simplest method is to order through the website, where availability, delivery and payment are handled in one process.

For personal collection or an individually arranged purchase, contact can be made before ordering.

Can I buy a painting as a gift?

Yes. Original paintings can make distinctive gifts for collectors, anniversaries, new homes and people connected to a particular landscape or place.

When timing is important, check the available delivery option and expected delivery period before completing the order.

Do colours look exactly the same on every screen?

No. Screen brightness, colour settings, room lighting and device type can affect how colours appear.

Product photographs are prepared to represent each painting as accurately as possible, but slight differences between a screen image and the physical artwork are normal.

Custom Pet Portraits in Oil

Do you paint custom pet portraits?

Yes. Custom pet portraits can be commissioned from photographs.

Each portrait is painted by hand in oil as an original artwork, with attention to the animal’s character, expression, colouring and presence.

Can you paint a custom dog portrait from a photo?

Yes. A custom dog portrait can be created from a good-quality photograph.

Clear photographs with natural light, visible eyes, accurate colouring and a characteristic expression usually provide the strongest reference material.

Can you paint cats or other animals?

Yes. Pet portrait commissions are not limited to dogs. Cats and other animals may also be painted, depending on the quality of the reference photographs and requested composition.

What kind of photograph is best for a pet portrait?

The strongest reference photograph is usually:

  • clear and reasonably sharp,
  • taken in natural or neutral light,
  • photographed near the animal’s eye level,
  • free from strong filters,
  • detailed around the eyes and face,
  • representative of the animal’s normal colouring and character.

Photographs taken from far above, in very dark conditions or with strong wide-angle distortion are usually less suitable.

Can you combine several photos into one portrait?

Sometimes. Several photographs may be used when one image shows the best pose while another provides clearer information about the eyes, colouring or markings.

The photographs must be compatible enough to create a believable and coherent portrait.

Can more than one animal be included?

Portraits containing two or more animals may be possible. A larger format is normally recommended so that each animal can be represented clearly.

The final format and price depend on the number of animals and the complexity of the composition.

How long does a custom pet portrait take?

A custom pet portrait usually takes approximately one to three weeks, depending on its size, complexity and the current workload.

Additional time may be required for the oil paint to become safe to handle, pack and ship. The approximate schedule is confirmed before work begins.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required before work begins on a custom portrait.

The remaining balance, format, composition and other commission details are agreed before the painting process starts.

Will I see the portrait before it is shipped?

A photograph of the completed portrait can be provided before final dispatch.

Small differences between the photograph and physical painting may occur because of lighting and screen settings.

Can I request changes?

Reasonable feedback can be discussed during the agreed approval stage.

Major changes to the composition, pose or reference image after painting has begun may require additional work and may affect the price or completion time.

Choosing the Right Painting

What size oil painting should I choose?

The best size depends on the wall, furniture, viewing distance and visual role of the painting.

Small paintings are suited to intimate spaces, shelves, desks, side walls and arrangements containing several artworks.

Paintings from approximately 20 × 30 cm can already function as independent focal points in smaller interiors. Medium and larger works create a stronger presence and generally benefit from more surrounding space.

What is the difference between a small plein-air study and a larger finished painting?

A small plein-air study is often painted outdoors in a relatively short session. It can preserve immediate decisions, changing light, weather and direct observation.

A larger or more developed painting may involve a more complex composition, additional paint layers and longer studio work. Both are original paintings, but they represent different intentions and categories within the artist’s practice.

What is the difference between a plein-air and studio painting?

A plein-air painting is created directly from observation outdoors, often while the natural light and weather are changing.

A studio painting may be developed from photographs, sketches, previous studies and direct experience of the location. Studio work allows more time for compositional changes, layering and larger formats.

What makes an original oil painting different from a print?

An original oil painting is a physical work created by hand. It contains real paint, layers, brushwork, texture and subtle variations across the surface.

A print reproduces the image of an artwork but does not contain the same paint surface or material qualities as the original.
