2. Products
The shop offers original oil paintings and, where available, custom commissioned artworks.
Each original painting is a one-of-a-kind handmade artwork. Small differences in colour, texture, surface gloss and appearance may occur between the physical artwork and the images displayed on screen due to lighting, photography and monitor settings.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, frames, props and room mockups shown in images are not included in the sale.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the product page. The final order total is displayed at checkout before payment.
An order is considered accepted only after successful payment confirmation. I reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if a product was listed with an obvious error, is no longer available, or cannot be shipped safely to the buyer’s destination.
4. Delivery and shipping
Original paintings are packed carefully and shipped using a tracked delivery service whenever available.
Estimated dispatch and delivery times may vary depending on the artwork, destination country, exhibition schedule, public holidays and courier availability. If a painting is currently part of an exhibition or temporarily unavailable for immediate dispatch, this will be communicated where possible.
The buyer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. I am not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect address details provided by the buyer.
For international orders, the buyer may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes or local handling fees charged in the destination country.
5. Right of withdrawal for EU consumers
EU consumers purchasing ready-made original paintings online have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the artwork, without giving a reason.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the buyer must contact me by email at bocediart@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery and clearly state the decision to withdraw from the purchase.
The artwork must then be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which the buyer informed me about the withdrawal.
6. Return conditions
Returned artworks must be sent back in the same condition in which they were received.
The painting must be securely packed, preferably using the original packaging or packaging of equivalent protective quality. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the artwork is protected against impact, bending, moisture and surface damage during return shipping.
The buyer is responsible for the direct cost of return shipping, unless the item arrived damaged, incorrect or not as described.
I strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping for returns. I am not responsible for loss or damage during return shipping caused by insufficient packaging or the buyer’s chosen shipping method.
If the artwork is returned damaged, altered, used beyond normal inspection, or in a condition that reduces its value, an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund.
7. Refunds
Refunds for valid returns will be processed within 14 days after I receive the returned artwork or after the buyer provides proof of return shipment, whichever occurs first.
The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
Additional costs resulting from the buyer choosing a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery option offered at checkout may not be refunded.
8. Custom commissions and personalised artworks
Custom commissioned artworks, personalised artworks, made-to-order paintings and works created according to the buyer’s specific instructions are excluded from the right of withdrawal once the commission has been accepted and the work has started.
This includes, but is not limited to, pet portraits, portraits, paintings based on the buyer’s photographs, paintings made in a requested size, subject, colour direction or composition, and artworks created to satisfy the buyer’s individual requirements.
Deposits for commissioned artworks are non-refundable unless I cancel the commission myself or cannot complete the agreed work.
This does not affect the buyer’s legal rights if the commissioned artwork arrives damaged or does not correspond to the agreed order.
9. Damaged items
If an artwork arrives damaged, the buyer should contact me within 48 hours of delivery at bocediart@gmail.com.
Please include clear photographs of:
- the outer packaging,
- the inner packaging,
- the damaged area of the artwork,
- the shipping label.
The buyer should keep all packaging until the issue is resolved, as the courier may require evidence for an insurance claim.
10. Artwork images and copyright
Purchasing an artwork gives the buyer ownership of the physical object only.
Copyright and reproduction rights remain with Andrea Bocedi unless expressly agreed in writing. The buyer may not reproduce, sell prints of, commercially use, license, mint as NFT, or otherwise exploit the image of the artwork without written permission.
I reserve the right to use images of sold artworks for portfolio, archive, social media, exhibition, publication and promotional purposes.
11. Product availability
All original paintings are one-of-a-kind. If the same artwork is accidentally purchased by more than one buyer due to a technical error or delay in stock update, the first completed order will normally be honoured and the other order will be refunded.
