The exhibition included paintings prepared in 2024 as part of a diploma project at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, as well as works connected with the same subject. The leading idea was the metaphysical presence and emotional energy of places such as old chapels, ruins, forgotten cemeteries and historical reconstructions.

About the Work

Andrea Bocedi’s paintings move between observation and memory. The work includes original landscape oil paintings, plein air studies, figurative works, animal paintings and custom pet portraits in oil. Many paintings are developed from direct contact with a place, while others are shaped later in the studio through memory, atmosphere and painterly interpretation.

The recurring subjects include Italian landscapes, Sardinian coastlines, Tuscan fields, Polish views, animals, symbolic motifs and the emotional presence of light in everyday places.
