Description

Evening Glow After the Storm is an original oil painting by Andrea Bocedi, measuring 28×35 cm. The work captures the moment when a storm begins to pass and the last light of the day breaks through the sky. Dark trees and the quiet foreground frame a band of glowing colour — yellow, green, orange and violet — creating a strong contrast between shadow and light.

This small atmospheric landscape painting is built around the tension between darkness and illumination. The brushwork remains visible and expressive, especially in the sky, where warm clouds seem to move above the horizon. Rather than describing every detail, the painting focuses on mood: the silence after heavy weather, the strange beauty of evening light, and the memory of a landscape seen for only a few minutes.

A one-of-a-kind original oil painting for collectors looking for intimate landscape art with dramatic sky, warm sunset colour and a quiet, contemplative atmosphere.

Studio note

Evening light is one of the recurring themes in my landscape oil paintings. In this work, the atmosphere is built through fading light, simplified forms and quiet colour rather than detailed description. I wrote more about this approach in a short blog post on evening landscape painting.
