Description
Original winter plein-air painting
A snow-covered field near the Radomka River, painted outdoors beside

Directly from observation
Polish winter landscape
created outdoors near the Radomka River in Poland, beside local orchards
and open fields.
The scene is built from a small number of strong elements: a broad
snow-covered foreground, scattered winter plants, a dense forest line
and a clear blue sky touched with pale violet near the horizon.
Winter light painted directly from nature
The painting records the cold clarity of a frosty day without turning
the landscape into a uniformly white surface. The snow contains pale
blues, greys, violets and warmer neutral notes reflecting the sky,
vegetation and uneven ground beneath it.
Against this lighter foreground, the forest forms a deep green-black
mass. Individual trunks and branches emerge only in selected places,
allowing the trees to remain visually unified while preserving their
irregular natural rhythm.
The open blue sky occupies a large part of the composition and gives the
small painting a greater sense of space. A restrained pink-violet note
near the left horizon introduces a subtle change of temperature without
disturbing the winter stillness.
The subject is not simply snow, but the way frost simplifies the
landscape into broad masses of cold light, dark forest and small traces
of vegetation breaking through the surface.
Painted en plein air
The work was created outdoors from direct observation. Changing light,
low temperature and limited working time encouraged clear decisions,
simplified forms and direct brushwork.
Textured winter surface
Raised passages of paint give the snow a physical presence. Broader
strokes describe uneven ground, compressed tracks and frozen areas,
while darker marks suggest grasses and plants emerging through it.
A small original painting of the Polish winter
At 20 × 30 cm, Frosty is a compact original suitable for a
study, bedroom, hallway, reading corner or a grouped display of smaller
landscape paintings.
Its cool blues, pale greys and dark natural greens can work particularly
well with neutral interiors, natural wood and simple contemporary
framing.
The painting may appeal to collectors looking for an original winter
landscape, a snow oil painting, Polish countryside art or a small
plein-air work with visible texture and direct observation of seasonal
light.
