A Custom Dog Portrait in Oil: Meet Basil

Meet Basil — an original custom dog portrait in oil by Andrea Bocedi, created with expressive brushwork, subtle tonal contrasts and a warm, atmospheric background.

Rather than reproducing every detail of a photograph, my approach to pet portrait painting focuses on character, form and the unique presence of each animal. The texture of the fur and the interplay of cool greys, soft whites and warm browns give this portrait its distinctive painterly feel.

A Hand-Painted Dog Portrait with Character

I create custom dog portraits in oil, individually painted from your reference photographs. Each painting is an original artwork, made to order and designed to celebrate a much-loved companion.

Every portrait begins with a photograph, but the finished painting is more than a copy. Through colour, light, texture and brushwork, I aim to capture the individual character of the animal while preserving the qualities of an original, hand-painted work.
