Nuracu d’Izzana
An ancient nuraghe rises from low, sun-burnt ground in Gallura. The weight of the stone, the dark opening and the dry colour of the surrounding land give the small structure a monumental presence.
View the painting →A curated selection of original oil paintings by Andrea Bocedi, bringing together landscapes, architecture, plein-air works and studio paintings from Italy and Poland.
These works were chosen for their strength of composition, quality of light and individual character. Each is a signed, one-of-a-kind painting available directly from the artist.
The collection is updated as new paintings become available.
The selection moves between Italy and Poland: Tuscan hills and stone buildings, Sardinian coastlines and ancient structures, Venetian architecture, Polish rivers, winter fields and the interior of the artist’s studio.
Some works were painted directly outdoors. Others were developed in the studio using personal photographs, studies and direct experience of the places represented.
Throughout the collection, light remains central: light falling across a wall, reflecting from water, opening distant space or changing the colour of a familiar landscape.
An ancient Sardinian monument, the artist’s studio and Venice at night introduce three distinct sides of the collection.
An ancient nuraghe rises from low, sun-burnt ground in Gallura. The weight of the stone, the dark opening and the dry colour of the surrounding land give the small structure a monumental presence.
Red walls, old furniture, brushes and window light transform the working room into a quiet portrait of the place where the paintings are made.
The illuminated palace rises above the dark lagoon, while broken reflections loosen the architecture and carry its light into the water.
The remaining works move from large Tuscan compositions and Mediterranean rock formations to quiet river landscapes, winter light and summer meadows in Poland.
The large studio version of the cypress road near Pienza. Tall dark trees, a pale road and warm Tuscan earth create a clear rhythm of light, shadow and distance.
Painted outdoors near Montalcino, this small work captures intense summer light falling across an old stone oven, warm walls and deep violet-brown shadow.
Small animal forms move through open grassland beneath a dark line of trees. Warm natural light gives the quiet rural subject a broad sense of space.
Painted outdoors in winter, the landscape is reduced to textured snow, isolated plants, a dense forest line and clear cold light beneath an open blue sky.
A winding river, fresh meadow and uneven tree line under an overcast sky. Muted greys and greens allow the quiet movement of water and land to carry the composition.
A narrow passage of warm reflected light moves between darker riverbanks and trees. The glowing surface of the water becomes the centre of the entire composition.
A bright meadow meets birches, grasses and a darker wall of vegetation. The changing summer greens create movement within an otherwise simple rural subject.
Painted in front of the church in Monza, the work balances a warm entrance, pale architecture, palm trees and strongly separated areas of sunlight and shadow.
Red porphyry rock meets deep blue water and broken white surf. The panoramic format intensifies the contrast between the warm coast and the cooler Mediterranean.
